About Erin
Hi, I’m Erin (she/her), the face behind Grammar Guardian Proof+Edit. I’ve always had a love for the written word. A reader from childhood, I enjoy many different genres (historical fiction, sci-fi, memoirs, feminist history, and more!), but I find that while I’m reading, I’m silently correcting grammar and punctuation mistakes as I go! I also like to suggest (in my head) some different word choices to the author ;). This habit has grown into Grammar Guardian Proof+Edit, and I’m here to help you with your writing!
In addition to my practical writing skills gained through both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, I have successfully completed the General Proofreading: Theory & Practice course with Proofread Anywhere. I have years of experience in writing, proofing, and editing, including PhD dissertations, academic papers, resumes, proposals, professional emails, and everything in between. I have specific industry and content knowledge in both music and education, as well as hands-on experience in crafting professional writing and ensuring documents are clear and correct.
When I’m not reading or proofing, you’ll find me enjoying the Pacific Northwest views, playing with my cats, and enjoying a good cup of coffee with my family.
